We miss you come back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
..... I am warm, 80 degrees warm
... YAY! I am the first to post on your tagboard!!!! I amglad you are like me now... it gives me something else to read on the 'ol world wide web!!!!
So, we recently had an employee appreciation thing at work and we got an extra discount on our purchases. So, I ordered some things for my niece and also got the things that my sister wanted to order as well. We aren't allowed to place our own orders in the system because they don't trust us so I had to call the orders in. I ordered everything, gave them the address, my card number, etc and all was well.
My sister calls me shortly after to say that she wants to add an additional item. It's too late to add to the order so I have to place a second order - and pay shipping on this order as well because they only pretend to appreciate us. All is fine and well, I check the tracking info and everything looks fine... until today. The first package delivered just fine, but the second package says "wrong address" or some nonsense like that! WTF? How could this have happened? I look closely at the email confirmations to find that the second order was shipped to 2458 instead of 2248. GRRR!!!
So, I call in and ask WTF the moron who took my order was doing when he selected the address and to have them contact UPS to reroute it to the correct address. Normally, if we screw up and the customer calls us on it we say "sorry, we'll do that right away at no additional charge to you." But do I get the same treatment as any Joe Schmoe angry customer? Of course not! They want to charge me the $5 fee to contact UPS!
"You have to be kidding me," I say. "You know that I did not place the order and obviously the packages were supposed to ship to the same address. All you had to do was select the CORRECT address from the drop down menu when I gave it to you! How do you screw that up?!" "I selected the address from the drop down menu..." comes the reply. "You may very well have done that, but you didn't select the address I gave you." "Yes, well, we'll get that taken care of for you right away."
They have no idea how angry I will be if they try to charge me $5 for this. Granted, it's not a huge fee, and I've wasted far more money on far less important things, but this is one of those "principle of the matter" situations where they should take care of their mistakes and own up to the fact that they are all stupid asses. Not to mention the fact that I am a FREAKING employee and I deserve to be treated like I matter, damn it! Let's just say I'll be checking my account first thing in the morning....
