We miss you come back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
..... I am warm, 80 degrees warm
... YAY! I am the first to post on your tagboard!!!! I amglad you are like me now... it gives me something else to read on the 'ol world wide web!!!!
So, I guess maybe I should update this thing more often... I had to try several times to get my username and password combo right and then it took me about 5 minutes to figure out the new site layout since bravenet changed everything around on me! Craziness. So, let's see... Portland is wonderful. The weather is interesting though. It started raining around nov. 3 and stopped just a couple of days ago although it has sprinkled off and on since then, but at least there are breaks between the storms this week. I don't mind the rain so much. It's kind of refreshing and it makes for great afternoon naps! And the last couple of days have been nice and nippy (upper 40s-50s I'm guessing) and damp. I liken it to the days after a big storm hits Laramie and then all the snow melts before it snows again. Good sweater, hat and scarf weather but I haven't really broken out the big coats yet. I may need to invest in an umbrella soon.
I got a new job - I start the Monday after Thanksgiving. I will be working at the Wells Fargo credit card customer service call center. So, still nothing related to anything I might ever want to do, but it pays the bills. Also, I will have a much better schedule than my current 4AM-Noon hours including saturdays off. This means that I probably won't be able to volunteer at the Red Cross for right now, but maybe at the zoo! Exciting, I know. I was going to volunteer at the zoo in Sacramento, but I couldn't get Satudays off for the training. So, I'll keep you posted on that if I ever get around to doing it.
Hmm... I have read lots lately, as my current (sucky) job has lots of down time. I recommend Jennifer Weiner as an author. Good stuff. She wrote "In her shoes" so if you haven't seen the movie, I recommend the book first. Also, I read "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold. It has an interesting perspective on life after death. It got a little long at parts, but overall enjoyable. I am trying to get ahold of a copy of "The Memory Keeper's Daughter" so if any of you have read it let me know what you think. Also, I read "Wicked" by Gregory Maguire. Very good book and a good follow up to the musical. Although, when I think about it, I'm not so sure I would have enjoyed it so much if I didn't love "The Wizard of Oz" and the musical. I'm currently taking recommendations on other good reads if anyone has any.
My birthday was good. Primo and I went down to Corvallis for the OSU game vs. Arizona State and watched OSU kick some Sun Devil ass. And I got The OC: Season 3 on DVD! so I am trying to catch up on all the drama I had to miss last fall due to the stupid Grad school class I tried to take.
For Thanksgiving I am going home with Primo to Coeur d'Alene, ID. It should be interesting. He keeps saying his parents are really excited that I am coming which is good, but a lot of pressure. I've only met them one other time and I'm not sure how they felt about me. YIKES! But apparently there is a big kick of to winter festival or something like that and they have fireworks and stuff the day after Thanksgiving. Also, if there is snow (I hope, I hope there is) then we can take a horse drawn sleigh ride around the big resort. Oh, and his sister is the head chef at his parent's restaurant so I expect Thanksgiving dinner to be very delicious!

sigh the normalness insues.... you are back woooo
